ingredients :

150 grams of minced meat
One raw carrot
Rice, boiled until half cooked – 50 grams
Salt, and pepper to taste
5 medium-sized potatoes
One small onion

Filling :

1 tablespoon of tomato paste
100 ml. water
50 grams of hard cheese
1 tbsp. sour cream
Salt, and ground pepper to taste

Method :

My carrots, peel. We rub with a large grater. Finely chop the onion. Fry them together in a small amount of vegetable oil, until soft and lightly blushed.

Boil rice until half cooked. If excess moisture remains, drain it. We send it in a cooled form to minced meat. By the way, you can take it any, to your taste. We also shift the slightly cooled frying of onions and carrots here. Salt the mass, and pepper to taste, and mix.

Lubricate the baking dish with vegetable oil. From the meat mass with our hands, we form balls of equal size, about 4 cm in diameter. We put them in a mold, loosely to each other.

Peel the potatoes. We cut it into thin rings or half rings, depending on the size. Do not cut too thick – it will not bake. We spread the slices around our meatballs. Add the potatoes on top and, if desired, season to taste.

Send to the oven, already heated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the filling. Mix ketchup, tomato paste, or other tomato sauce with sour cream. We add water. Salt, and pepper to taste and stir everything until smooth. After 20 minutes, take out the casserole and pour the resulting sauce. We return to the oven, at the same temperature, for another 15 minutes.

After a quarter of an hour, the dish will be ready. But we will make it even tastier. We take it out and sprinkle it with grated cheese. We send it to the oven for another 5-10 minutes until it melts.
