We will cook the meat in the oven, so we need large dishes, it can be glass, cast iron or, like mine, clay (2.5-liter pot). I like the taste of dishes in clay dishes. Add a little salt, ground pepper (a mixture of peppers works great), and a bay leaf to the bottom. You can use any spices

Cut the meat into large pieces and place in a pot

Sprinkle salt and pepper mixture on top and add bay leaf again

Chop the onion not very finely and place it on the meat

Place pieces of butter on top and that’s it, the preparation of the products is complete. We do not add water. Cover the pot with a lid, put it in a cold oven, turn it on to 180 degrees, and forget about the meat for 2 hours

The aroma in the kitchen is amazing. After 2 hours, remove the pot and open it. The liquid is still boiling, the onions become golden brown when baked, and the meat is incredibly soft and juicy

Place the finished pork and onions immediately on a plate and serve with your favorite side dish. A delicious liquid sauce forms at the bottom, pour it over the side dish. Cooking the meat in its own juice and onion juice becomes very tender, melting in your mouth
